According to ISPR, the security personnel were conducting search operation to arrest the terrorists involved in kidnapping of Canadian national and his wife in Afghanistan.
The Canadian family was rescued by security forces in Kurram Agency near Pak-Afghan border a few days back.
The martyrs include Captain Husnain, Sepoi Saeed Baz, Sepoi Qadir and Sepoi Jumma Gul While Naik Anwar, Sepoi Zahir and Lance Naik Sher Afzal were injured in the incident.
The injured have been shifted to the agency headquarters hospital in Parachinar.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has expressed condolences with families of the martyrs of today’s blast in Kurram Agency.
He prayed for the early recovery of the injured and eternal peace for the departed souls.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has also condemned attack on FC jawans in Kurram Agency.
He said the nation is united to curb the menace of terrorism from the country.

Meanwhile, the nimaz-e-janaza of four securitypersonnel who embraced martyrdom was offered in FC ground Parachinar on Sunday.
Besides others, Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General, Nazir Ahmed Butt attended the funeral prayers.
The dead bodies of martyrs have been sent to their native areas.
