DHAKA: India defeated Pakistan 3-1 in the Hockey Asia Cup 2017 Pool A match on Sunday.
For India, Chinglesana, Ramandeep and Harmanpreet got onto the scoresheet while Ali Shaan scored the lone goal for Pakistan.
The last time India played Pakistan in a hockey match was at Hockey World League in England where the Roelant Oltmans’ side thrashed Pakistan by 6-1.
India have dominated in their first two games at the Asia Cup 2017 taking place in Bangladesh, thrashing the hosts and Japan 7-0 and 5-1 respectively.
In Pakistan’s previous two encounters, they thrashed Bangladesh 7-0 in their campaign- opener, but were held to a 2-2 draw by Japan in their next match
