United States says nearly three thousand additional American troops have been deployed in Afghanistan under President Donald Trump’s revised strategy for the war-torn country.

US, Joint Staff Director Lieutenant General Kenneth McKenzie, told reporters in Pentagon that with the addition of fresh deployment the number of US forces increased to fourteen thousand.

He said sixteen thousand troops are required in Afghanistan, and NATO nations have pledged to help make up the difference.
