Hearing of NAB References against former PM Nawaz, family adjourns till Wednesday

Four witnesses have been summoned for the next hearing.

Hearing of NAB references against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members has been adjourned till Wednesday next.

Judge of the Accountability Court Islamabad Muhammad Bashir heard the case.

Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and retired Capt. Muhammad Safdar appeared before the court.

Khawaja Haris, Counsel of former Prime Minister cross examined two prosecution witnesses today. Four witnesses have been summoned for the next hearing.

In an informal chat with media persons outside the court, the former Prime Minister said there should be no double standards in dispensation of justice. He hoped that their struggle would lead to logical conclusion.

To a question, he hoped the trial would be fair.

Talking to media persons, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that despite reservations, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is appearing before the courts.

She said no allegation of corruption has been proven against Nawaz Sharif.
