WASHINGTON: Afghan Ambassador to the US, Hamdullah Mohib, has welcomed USPresident Donald Trump’s latest warning to Pakistan over terorist safehavens as a promising message to Afghanistan, Pajhwok News has reported.
“A promising message to Afghans who have suffered at the hands ofterrorists based in Pakistan for far too long,” Mohib said in a tweetwelcoming a tweet from Trump in which he warned Pakistan.
In his “first tweet of 2018,” Trump alleged that the “United States hasfoolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of ourleaders as fools.”
“They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with littlehelp. No more!” Trump said.
