PESHAWAR – The third anniversary of the tragic terrorist attack on Army Public School in Peshawar is being observed today (Saturday).
Events are being organized across the country to mark the day.
On this day in 2014, six terrorists stormed the school and martyred one hundred and forty-seven students and teachers.
The security forces promptly responded to the attack and killed all the terrorists.
A function in connection with the third anniversary of terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar is in progress at the school to pay tributes to the martyred students and teachers.
Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen. Nazir Ahmed Butt is the chief guest on the occasion.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal says terrorism shall be defeated at any cost and that is our commitment.
In his tweet message in connection with the third anniversary of the tragedy of Army Public School Peshawar today (Saturday), he said we stand with the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar.
In a statement, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurengzaib said the sacrifices of the innocent martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar will always be remembered.
She said the country`s security forces have rendered matchless sacrifices to save the country from terrorism.
The Minister said these sacrifices will not go waste and the whole nation stands united against terrorism.
