NEW DELHI – In India, Muslim organizations, human right groups, universitystudents and several political parties staged protest demonstrationsagainst Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in different parts of thecountry.
In New Delhi, civil rights activists organised a protest rally holdingplacards and banners with crossed-out images of the Israeli prime ministerthat read “Go back, Netanyahu” in English and Hindu.
A group of university students also hold rally near the Israeli embassy.
In Mumbai, India-Palestine Solidarity Forum, a civil society group held apress conference, which was attended by the great-grandson of MahatmaGandhi Tushar Gandhi, denounced India’s welcome of Netanyahu.
