ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has always supported all peace initiatives forAfghanistan and is committed to peace and stability of the region.
This was stated by National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua, whiletalking to British Ambassador to Afghanistan Sir Nicholas Kay along withBritish High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew in Islamabad today(Wednesday).
Matters pertaining to regional peace, security and stability with referenceto evolving political and security situation in Afghanistan were discussed.
National Security Advisor explained the complexities of the perpetualconflict and highlighted the role played and contributions made by Pakistanto fight the menace of terrorism.
The Ambassador acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts againstterrorism and also highlighted the positive role of British Government fora sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
