ISLAMABAD – Britain has emphasized the importance of Pakistan andAfghanistan working together to build a constructive relationship forgreater security and stability in the region.
This emphasis was made by British Ambassador to Afghanistan Sir NicholasKay during his two-day visit to Islamabad for a series of meetings with thePakistani government.
The visit is the latest in a series of exchanges by British Ambassadors toshare perspectives and increase understanding of the region.
It follows the visit of the British High Commissioner to Pakistan ThomasDrew to Kabul in October last year.
Sir Nicholas met a range of interlocutors, including Foreign MinisterKhawaja Asif, Commerce Minister Pervaiz Malik, Army Chief General QamarJaved Bajwa and National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua.
