LARKANA: At least two people were killed and six others sustained woundsafter a police officer ran his car over them in a Larkana neighborhood onSunday night.
Police said the station house officer (SHO) of Waleed police stationcrashed his car into pedestrians. As a result two people were killed whilesix other sustained injures.
The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. The cause ofthe crash is still not clear.
However, some reports said the policeman was under influence of drugs oralcohol.
DIG Larkana said SHO Ali Murtaza Chandio has been arrested and his vehicletaken into custody.
Chandio, who also suffered injuries, have been shifted to a hospital formedical attention, he added.
The identities of those killed and injured in the incident couldn’t beascertained immediately.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Home MinisterSohail Anwar Sial took notice of the incident and summoned a report fromthe DIG Larkana.
