WASHINGTON – Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed that any recognition of Jerusalemas the capital of Israel or the transfer of any country’s embassy to it isnull and void.

This was stated by Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the UnitedNations Ambassador Abdullah Yahya Almoalimi, during open debate on, thesituation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.

He said such measure only leads to incite tension in the Middle East andweakens the opportunities of reaching a comprehensive, lasting and justsolution based on the two-state solution.

The Ambassador also stressed that it is time for the UN Security Council todeal seriously with Hezbollah and to detect its terrorist operations inSyria, Lebanon and other parts of the world. SPA—
