ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has said that India’s arms buildup far exceeds itsdefense needs and Pakistan will not remain oblivious to such developments.
In his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign OfficeSpokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal said Pakistan will take every stepcommensurate with the imperatives of its defence and security needs.
He said cooperation and not confrontation is the only way forward to peaceand stability in the region and beyond.
The spokesperson said the promises of peace must be reciprocated by actionsand not mere words to achieve the desired goal of peace.
He said there exists a clear difference between India`s declared policy andits actions on ground.
