FARAH CITY : The intelligence chief for the Pushtkoh district of westernFarah province has been killed along with a policeman in a Taliban ambush,an official said on Wednesday.

Haji Abdul Qader, deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News MohammadIsmail was ambushed on his way to Farah City, the provincial capital, lateon Tuesday. He said one policeman was also killed in the attack.

Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, Taliban’s spokesman, confirmed the attack and claimedIsmail and two police personnel were killed and their car damaged.
