Apple IPhone X may be discontinued in 2018, here is why

NEW DELHI – The year 2018 may not bring good news for iPhone users as UStech giant Apple will not retain the iPhone X this year.

According to media reports, renowed analysts Ming-Chi Kuo of KGISecurities, has predicted that Apple will soon be discontinuing the iPhoneX.

If so, then it would be the first time that Apple will not retain itsprevious year’s model to allow for a wide range of iPhones available atmany price points.

Kuo has said in its note that the Apple iPhone X will face ‘end of life’ insummer 2018 and will not be retained after the new iPhones are launched.

This is presumably in light of reports that Apple iPhone X sales were notas high as expected, perhaps it being the most expensive iPhone ever.

Ming Chi Kuo’s note further quoted that Apple will ship 18 million iPhone Xdevices in the first calendar quarter of 2018. He has also pointed out thatApple iPhone X has not been successful in China and the sales figuresappear to be causing some of these problems with users thinking iPhone 8Plus has more usable space to offer.

Kuo has also predicted that Apple will launch three iPhones in 2018 and allwill come with full vision display, though the most budget-friendly versionwill likely have an LCD display. Apple will restrict OLED to the twohigh-end versions.
