RAWALPINDI – DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor has spoken over the muchhyped rumours circulating in the media regarding any possibility of thePakistan Army interfering in the politics and the possible threat of thederailment of democracy by Pakistan Army.

He said that there is no threat to democracy from them.

In an interview with a private TV channel on Monday, he said that stabilityis very essential for the country. “We are the army of the people and dowhatever we can do for the people,” he maintained.

The DG ISPR said that they would follow the order whatever they receiveabout the elections.

He termed the allegation of the Haqqani network attacks from Pakistan asbaseless.
