MOSCOW – Russia has accused the United States of fomenting separatism inthe Kurdish enclave of Afrin in Syria.
RIA news agency while quoting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov saidthat the United States has been “discouraging the Kurds from dialogue” withthe Syrian government.
He said the U.S. actions in Syria are either a “deliberate provocation” orindicate lack of understanding of the situation by Washington.
Earlier, The United States urged Turkey to “exercise restraint” and limitits military operations in northwestern Syria. – Agencies
