ISLAMABAD – Sufi Muhammad, chief of the bannedTehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM), said that Taliban leader andhis son-in-law Mullah Fazalullah has renounced Islam.

In an interview with a private TV channel on Friday, he said that MullahFazalullah has rebelled Shariah. “Taliban are not Mujahids, but Khawaraj,”he maintained.

Sufi Muhammad, who was recently released from jail, said that Fazalullahdeserves the death sentence.

“It is ‘haram’ (forbidden) to fight against the Pak Army and attackschools,” he said. “Pakistan would have been divided had there not been theArmy.”

Sufi Muhammad said that the person raising arms against Pakistan is aconvert.
