KARACHI – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain has beensummoned by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Imran Farooq murder case, viaa UK’s popular daily.
Imran Farooq was assassinated in London in September 2010.
The advert is published on behalf of Shahrukh Arjumand, judge of SpecialAnti-Terrorism Court No-1 and declares Hussain an absconder. The advertalso gives Hussain 30 days time to appear before the court.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in 2015, had lodged a case againstthe MQM founder and other senior party leaders for their allegedinvolvement in Farooq’s murder.
Syed Mohsin Ali, Moazzam Ali and Khalid Shamim were also arrested the sameyear.
Farooq, 50, was killed in a knife attack on his way from work in. Apost-mortem examination had shown that he had died from blunt trauma to thehead and multiple stab wounds.
