Israel granted legal status to a previously unauthorized 50-family outpost in the occupied West Bank on Sunday.
The decision was approved unanimously by Israel’s cabinet in response to a Palestinian shooting attack in the area last month that killed an Israeli. Meanwhile, Palestinian officials condemned the Israeli move.
A member of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s executive committee, Wasel Abu Youssef, said all settlements in the West Bank, including in Jerusalem, are illegal.APP
