Pakistan rejects Afghan government evidence on Kabul attack being not credible

ISLAMABAD – Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Muhammad Asif Sunday saidPakistan and Afghanistan border management was very essential forcontrolling terrorism in two countries.

Talking to a private news channel, the minister said circumstances weretotally changed now and Pakistan could not open its border with Afghanistanlike 40 years before.

Both the countries should cooperate with each other and work together foreradicating terrorism, he added.He pointed out that almost 70 per cent area of Afghanistan was not undercontrol of its government and terrorists organizations and Taliban weremoving freely there.

He urged that Afghanistan and international community should play theirrole for returning the Afghan refugees to their homeland from Pakistan.

Replying to a question, he said evidences provided by the Afghan governmentregarding Sawat incident were not credible, adding that peace hadestablished in Swat from many years and people of the area were movingthere without any fear.

He said some people were not in favour of establish durable peace inPakistan and Afghanistan and wanted to create confrontations between boththe countries.

He said a peace full Afghanistan was in favour of Pakistan adding hiscountry wanted peace full resolution of Afghanistan issue. – APP
