ISLAMABAD – Proteas spinner Imran Tahir is revealed to have quit playingfor Pakistan owing to his love interest, a private media outlet reported onFriday.
It was reported that Tahir had met a fashion model named Saadia Dildaar inSouth Africa during U-19 World Cup held in South Africa in 1998 who refusedto move to Pakistan with him.
The spinner left Pakistan for good in 2006 and began his cricket careerfrom the Proteas side in the following time period. The cricketer playeddomestic cricket for five years and secured a place in the national elevenin 2011.
Dildaar and Tahir have a son named Jibran.
