SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities imposed restrictionsin Srinagar, today (Wednesday), to prevent a march towards Shopian toexpress solidarity with the families of the six people killed in the firingof Indian troops on Sunday.
Call for the march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadershipcomprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.All shops and business centers are closed while public transport is off theroad in Srinagar and other district headquarters of the Valley.
All schools, colleges and universities are closed while examinationsscheduled for Wednesday have been postponed.
The authorities have put Hurriyat leaders including Syed Ali Gilani,Muhammad Yasin Malik and Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, under house arrest or incustody to stop them from leading the march.
