ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been awarded withthe international accreditation over its services.

PIA has made a transition to the new standard ISO 9001: 2015 – for QualityManagement System (QMS).

The flight services department underwent ISO re-certification externalaudit on New QMS Standard ISO 9001: 2015 by Bureau Veritas CertificationCompany, said a press release of the national flag carrier.

This external audit covered selected base stations and airline’shead-office and successfully concluded without any non-conformity.

President and CEO PIA Musharraf Rasool Cyan has congratulated chiefoperating officer, Zia Qader Qureshi and flight services division on thisfeat.

He emphasised upon the implementation of this standard in letter and spiritto make PIA the first choice for travellers.

Cyan appreciated the flight service division on completing the transitionin record time of less than 45 days.
