ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar hasannounced the verdict in the Dawn Leaks petition filed in the SC.
SC on Friday dismissed a petition seeking to make Dawn Leaks report public.
The petition was filed by the retired army officers seeking to make DawnLeaks report public pleading the court to reject the objections raised bythe registrar office.
The CJP heard the case in his chamber and dismissed the petition upholdingthe objections leveled by the registrar office.
Earlier, Brigadier (r) Muhammad Arabi had filed the petition with regard tothe Dawn Leaks case.
The petitioner had made former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and formerinterior minister Chaudhry Nisar a party in the case.
