ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif Monday said that thecooperative partnership between Pakistan and China had its roots in mutualtrust, equality, non-interference, harmonious co-existence and win-winprinciples.

Jointly Inaugurating a photo exhibition with Ambassador of People’sRepublic of China Yao Jing, the minister said the exhibition was a glimpseof strong Pakistan-China partnership, who celebrate the rich culturallinkages and bonds, said a press release issued here.

The photo exhibition was organized to commemorating Chinese New Year, thepress release added.

The minister while speaking on the occasion, appreciated President XiJinping’s transformative Belt and Road Initiative, saying the ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was its flagship project.

He stated that (CPEC) was making excellent progress and was rapidlytransforming the infrastructure and energy landscape of the country.

It is through (CPEC) that both countries would change the spatialtopography of the region.Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing, in his address elaborated on the symbolism ofChinese Spring Festival and hailed the significance of strongPakistan-China bilateral relations.
