ISLAMABAD- Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived in Turkmenistanto attend inaugural ceremony of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan andIndia gas pipeline project.
At the airport, Deputy Chairman of Turkmen Cabinet received the PrimeMinister and his delegation.
Turkmenistan has completed construction of gas pipeline in its sectionunder TAPI project, following which a groundbreaking ceremony is scheduledto be performed at the Turkmen border city of Serhetabat tomorrow to takethe pipeline to Afghanistan.
The grand inaugural ceremony would be preceded by a Steering Committeemeeting of the project’s participating countries-Turkmenistan, Afghanistan,Pakistan and India at Mary City in Turkmenistan.
