GUJRANWALA: Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala Sohail Ahmed Tipu was found deadat his residence.
His hands were tied at the back which raises strong suspicion that he mayhave been murdered.
However an initial report suggests that it could be a case of suicide, saidassistant medical superintendent (AMS) District Headquarters.
“Upon commissioner’s request when we reached the DC house, we found thebody hanging from the fan,” said the AMS, adding that the commissioner hasbeen informed about the legalities of the post-mortem.
Sohail Ahmed was residing with his parents.
Tipu, who was appointed as deputy commissioner on December 11, 2017, hasthree daughters and son, who reside in Lahore.
Further investigation into the case is under way.
