LONDON – The Chief Minister Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif who is in London thesedays in connection with his medical check-up held a meeting with Ms. PennyMordaunt, Secretary of State for International Development of the UnitedKingdom, in which matters related to ongoing cooperation between Punjab andDepartment for International Development (DFID) in different fields cameunder discussions.

Shehbaz Sharif thanked the secretary for the vital role DFID is playing inPunjab’s socio-economic development.

The secretary praised government of Punjab on its social sector reforms andassured the chief minister that the UK government will continue to stayengaged with Punjab and Pakistan.

Earlier, Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif had his blood tests taken whose resultswill be out in a few days.
