ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Russia have reaffirmed the commitment to promotebilateral cooperation for countering terrorism.

The reiteration came during the 7th Meeting of Pakistan Russia JointWorking Group on Counter-Terrorism in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

The Pakistan side was led by Director General, Counter Terrorism, Ministryof Foreign Affairs Ahmad Farooq, while Director, Department for NewChallenges of the Russian Ministry of Foreign represented his delegation.

The two sides discussed a wide ranging agenda covering thecounter-terrorism situation at the regional and global level, actions takenby both countries to tackle the menace of terrorism as well as bilateralcooperation on the issue.
