PESHAWAR – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has accepted PresidentAshraf Ghani’s invitation to visit Afghanistan, Afghan media has reportedquoting Pakistani sources.
Pakistan link> and Afghanistan wouldexchange highest-level visits to improve bilateral relations, the Nationquoted unnamed Foreign Office sources as saying.
“The dates will be finalised through diplomatic channels. We also expectPresident Ashraf Ghani to return the visit later,” one official told thedaily.
Earlier in the week, Ghani extended an invitation to Abbasi to visitAfghanistan to initiate state-to-state comprehensive dialogue between theneighbours.
Pakistan was willing to play its role in the Afghan reconciliation process,Foreign Office spokesperson Dr. Mohammed Faisal said, adding that amilitary solution on Afghanistan was unlikely.
