LAHORE – Six persons were martyred in the Raiwind blast today howeverRadio Pakistan published news of martyrdom of ASP Zuair Nazir while twentyothers injured in a blast at a check post on Raiwind Road.
The injured include nine police officials.
Four people, including two policemen, were martyred while 35 people wereinjured in a blast on Raiwind Road on Wednesday.
A heavy contingent of police led by SP Umar Farooq reached the spot andcordoned the area.
The rescue operation is underway. Emergency has been declared in Jinnah andGeneral hospitals.
DIG Operations Haider Ashraf said that the policemen were targeted in theblast.
He said that according to preliminary reports, a motorcycle was used in theattack.
