RIYADH – The Arab Parliament has called for recognition of a Palestinianstate with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In letters to speakers of several European parliaments, Arab ParliamentSpeaker Mishal al-Salami voiced hope to see these assemblies recognizePalestine and East Jerusalem as its capital.
He said any decisions or measures aimed to change the identity, status ordemography of Jerusalem will have no legal impact.
The letters have been sent to the parliaments of the United Kingdom,Ireland, Portugal, France, Italy, Spain, Luxemburg, Belgium and Greece.
