SUKMA: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast by seperatists Naxals inSukma district claimed the lives of nine CRPF personnel and injured severalothers on Tuesday.
“A patrolling party was going from Kistaram to Palodi in an anti-landminevehicle which was targeted by Naxals with an IED. Extra force has reachedthe spot, there is no firing at present,” Special DG, Anti NaxalOperations, DM Awasthi said.
Sukma has been a hotspot for naxal activities in recent years and Tuesday’sattack adds to the long list of casualties suffered by the forces, mainlythe CRPF.
