*LAHORE: NAB has kicked off inquiry against *former Director-General ofPunjab Public Relations Raja Jahangir Anwar who is also Secretary ofInformation of Punjab.

The inquiry against the top Punjab government official comes days after NABarrested former DG LDA Ahad Cheema.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned details of Jahangirfrom the provincial government and sent a letter to the Chief Secretary ofPunjab. Jahangir is a grade 18 officer who inhabits the seat of a grade 20officer. Multiple officers in the Public Relations office were senior toJahangir but worked under his directions.

Sources reveal that the inquiry is instated over allegations of corruptionand misuse of authority and official designation. Jahangir has beendirected to provide all records related to the corruption.

Jahangir was endowed with two official public offices. NAB’s inquiry islodged with regards to Jahangir’s DGPR tenure.
