ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif hasplayed his master stroke by nominating a senator from Balochistan for theslot of Chairman Senate in order to block opposition move of electing SajidSanjrani from Balochistan .

Former PM is playing his cards quite smartly, as he has decided to nominateMir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, the president of the National Party, for thecoveted slot of theSenate link> chairman,it has been learnt reliably.

Earlier PPP and PTI had supported Sajid Sanjrani from Balochistan as theirprime candidate. Nawaz Sharif decision has come in response to oppositiondecision of nominating senator from Balochistan.

Nawaz Sharif link> decided tonominate Bizenjo for the chairmanship after the Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari turned down a proposal floated by him toname outgoingSenate link> chairman RazaRabbani as a joint candidate for the top slot.

PTI and Balochistan Chief Minister had demanded that the new Chairman Senatelink> should be from Balochistan.

However, whom the slot of deputy chairman will go to remains undecided. Thesources confided that the nomination for the slot of the deputy chairmancould not be made; however, a decision in this regard will be taken aftertaking all the allies into confidence.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress to woo other parties, the sourcesclaimed that the PML-N will soon be in a position to appoint its handpickedchairman for the upper house
