DOHA – A Pakistani flotilla comprising Pakistan Navy Ship HIMMAT andPakistan Maritime Security Ship BASOL has arrived in Doha to participate inDoha International Maritime Defence Exhibition.
Pakistani flotilla is headed by Commodore Muhammad Faisal Abbasi who is theMission Commander and is currently commanding the 25th Destroyer Squadronof Pakistan Navy.
Both the ships are undertaking their maiden overseas deployments afterinduction in Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency.
PNS HIMMAT is an AZMAT Class Fast Attack Craft built in Karachi Shipyardand Engineering Works and equipped with indigenously developed HARBAHMissile System and other weapons.
BASOL is a HINGOL Class Multi Purpose Vessel that has been built in Chinaand fitted with modern systems for maritime surveillance.
The international exhibition hosts large number of navies from around theglobe on biennial basis.
Pakistan Navy regularly participates in the event with latest andindigenously constructed platforms.
