FAISALABAD – An attempt to attack Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khanwith show was thwarted on Sunday here in Faisalabad.

The accused has been identified as Ramzan and handed over to police. CivilLine Police station has shifted Ramzan to an unidentified location forfurther investigation.

Commenting on the unpleasant incident, PTI’s leader Farrukh Habib termedthe incident as an attempt of revenge for incident at Jamia Naeemia whereNawaz Sharif was attacked with a shoe.

Nawaz Sharif had gone to the religious seminary to participate in aceremony. While he reached rostrum to address the gathering, a middle-agedbearded man threw shoe at him and raised slogan.
