ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi presided over ameeting of the National Security Committee on Wednesday.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa, Naval Chief Admiral Zafar MahmoodAbbasi, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Foreign Minister KhawajaAsif, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of StaffCommittee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and other senior officials were alsopresent.
According to a press release, the committee denounced Indian aggression inOccupied Kashmir that martyred 20 innocent civilians and wounded hundredsof people gravely.
The committee observed that the inhumane and incessant use of pellet gunsagainst innocent protesters and on funeral processions has blinded scoresof Kashmiris and inflicted injuries.
The National Security Committee praised the extraordinary courage andresilience of Kashmiri people in the face of Indian brutalities, gross andsystematic violations of all their human rights.
The committee observed that the purely indigenous character of thisuprising has once again belied the false propaganda by the Indiangovernment.
Members of the committee also expressed Pakistan’s commitment to political,diplomatic and moral support for the people in Indian Occupied Jammu andKashmir in their just and legitimate struggle for their right toself-determination.
The NSC has decided to raise the issue of unprecedented Indian brutalitiesat both bilateral and multilateral platforms.
