ISLAMABAD:Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says the provincial government will procure four million tonnes of wheat from the farmers.

Chairing a high-level meeting in Lahore today (Tuesday), he said that the provincial government is set to procure wheat from farmers at a cost of one thousand and three hundred rupees per mound.

He directed the officials to make a mechanism for providing gunny bags to farmers at their door step. He said process of providing gunny bags will start from the mid of this month. APP/AFP
