200 Afghans killed, wounded in Afghan Air Force deadliest strike

KABUL – Conflicting reports emerge regarding a deadly airstrike in northernKunduz province as dozens of people are feared dead.

However eye witnesses have reported death toll over 50 and more than 150civilians wounded, TOLO News has reported. There were 200 people in themadrassah at the time of strike.

The military officials are saying that a deadly airstrike targeted theleadership council members of the Taliban group in northern Kunduz provinceof Afghanistan.

The 20th Pamir Division of the Afghan Military in the North said theairstrike was carried out at around 11 am local time today.

The source further added that fifteen people including a key leadershipcouncil member of the Taliban Mawlavi Beryani was among those killed.

According to the 20th Pamir Division, at least ten insurgents were alsowounded during the airstrike conducted by the Afghan Air force.
