COAS General Bajwa signs death warrants of 10 terrorists including Amjad Sabri killers

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa signed the deathwarrants of 10 convicted terrorists, including celebrated qawwal AmjadSabri’s killers, on Monday.

According to a communique issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR),the terrorists belonged to a banned terrorist outfit and were involved inheinous crimes, including an attack on a hotel in Peshawar and attacks onarmed forces and law enforcement agencies.

The military’s media wing stated that the convicted terrorists wereresponsible for killing 62, including five citizens and had confessed totheir offences before the magistrate and the trial court.

Amjad Sabri, the heir of world-famous qawwali duo Sabri brothers was gunneddown in broad daylight by motorcyclists in Karachi on June 22, 2016.

His murder triggered outrage and people from across the globe mourned theloss of the matchless artist, who, just a few hours before his deathrecited kalaam with the heart-touching lines: Jab waqt naza aye deedar atakerna (When I am on the verge of death, give me a glance of yours).
