ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that thegovernment will provide all resources to the judiciary to provide speedyand inexpensive justice to people.
Talking to Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar in Islamabadon Tuesday, he showed keen interest in providing all possible assistance inrevamping the judicial system of Pakistan as visualized by the ChiefJustice.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the difficulties of the Federal Boardof Revenue and the Tax Department on account of pendency of litigationinvolving revenue in different Courts.
The Chief Justice assured the Prime Minister that he will look into thematter and such litigation shall be fast tracked.
The Chief Justice assured the Prime Minister that the judiciary willcontinue to perform its constitutional duties independently, fairly,transparently, without fear or favour and strictly in accordance with law.
