TASHKENT – Foreign Ministers from Central Asian and European countries haveunderlined the need for stabilisation of Afghanistan for its socio-economicdevelopment.
At an international conference in Tashkent, European Union’s support forefforts of Central Asian countries on ensuring peace and stability inAfghanistan was discussed.
The Central Asian countries hailed the European intention to develop andadopt an updated EU Strategy for the region next year.
Twenty countries and international organizations attended the conference,titled “Peaceful Cooperation in Security and Regional Interaction”.
