NEW YORK – Pakistan’s Representative at the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhihas paid rich tribute to Pakistani men and women who serve as UNpeacekeepers, saying that they keep our flag flying high.

In her welcome remarks at the reception hosted by her to celebrate PakistanDay in New York, Maleeha Lodhi said Pakistan’s remarkable journey since thePakistan Resolution was adopted has been powered by the spirit andresilience of the Pakistani people.

Over a hundred Ambassadors from all regions of the world as well as manymore diplomats and UN officials attended the reception.

On the occasion, the Pakistan Mission set up photo displays to projectPakistan’s history, culture and its contribution to United Nationspeacekeeping. A special photo exhibition highlighted Pakistani women in UNpeacekeeping.
