WASHINGTON- US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is therepresentative of the US Deep State, which is determined to go to war withRussia, says E. Michael Jones, a political analyst in Indiana.
Jones, a writer, former professor, media commentator and the current editorof the *Culture Wars* magazine, made the remarks in a phone interview withPress TV on Saturday.
US President Donald Trump has reportedly invited Russian President VladimirPutin during a phone conversation for a meeting at the White House.
“On the surface it seems a kind of paradoxical because it looks as if weare engaged in Cold War II, and Russia is the enemy. However, appearancesare deceiving here,” Jones said.
“If we take a step back I think the invitation is perfectly consistent withthe events of the past month,” he added.
“OK, what am I talking about? Two weeks ago President Trump announced thathe was going to withdraw troops from Syria. This immediately created a hugereaction in the Deep State, which then launched this false flag gas attackin Douma. Nikki Haley, the representative of the Deep State, used it at anoccasion at the United Nations to demand action against Russia,” hecontinued.
“At this point Trump felt that he had to bow to public pressure andlaunched a missile attack, blew up three buildings in Syria,” he stated.
“What has come out since that time is a report from Sergey Lavrov that theUnited States coordinated this attack with Russia. In other words, it wasall just a political theater,” the analyst noted.
“This means then that at the heart of this American foreign policy, youhave this contradiction. You Trump’s desire expressed in the electioncampaign that he wanted to make peace with Syria. And you have the DeepState’s determination to go to war with Russia,” he said.
“So what we have here is a constant back-and-forth between Trump’s originalintentions, namely peace with Russia and agreement with Russia, and theDeep State’s attempt to overturn those intentions and go to war,” thecommentator concluded.
