ISLAMABAD – *US State Department spokesperson Helena White says she lovesUrdu language and is desirous of learning Urdu poetry.*

The United States is a friend of Pakistan, said the spokesperson whiletalking to an Indian journalist in New Delhi.

“My appointment is aimed at directly conveying the message to theSouth-Asian people,” she said.

Helena White wants to see Pakistan-US relations improve. She also sang asong on the journalist’s request.
