Myanmar government says it has repatriated the first Rohingya family from nearly 700,000 refugees who fled to Bangladesh after violence in the Western Rakhine state of the country.
In a statement, the government said five members of a Muslim family came to the Taungpyoletwea reception centre in Rakhine, despite a UN warning that it is not safe to return.
Myanmar and Bangladesh have agreed in January to complete a voluntary repatriation of the refugees in two years. (BBC)
