*PESHAWAR: *At least two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred andfive injured in a cross-border skirmish along the Pak-Afghan border late onSaturday night, said a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations(ISPR).
Originating from Afghanistan’s Khost province, the attack targeted FCtroops conducting routine surveillance near the Laka Teega check-post inLower Kurram Agency.
According to ISPR, the security officials have countered the attack whileensuring there were no civilian casualties.
Meanwhile, the political administration in Kurram Agency has said that thetribesmen from Bangash and other tribes have also started to assemble toaid security forces.
An investigation has been launched into the cross-border firing incident.
