ISLAMABAD – Minister for Railways Saad Rafique has said that the system ofPakistan Railway is improving day by day but it needs ten to twelve yearsto stand on its feet.

He said recruitment was made on merit basis and the government has savedRailway from privatization.

Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique says the number of passengers ofPakistan Railways has increased by 14 million during the currentgovernment’s tenure.

Talking to media in Lahore today, he said that the confidence of the peoplehas been restored in the railways with the effective policies of government.

The minister said Pakistan Railways has introduced online ticketing systemto facilitate the passengers.
