Kashmiri Youth defy Indian Army in SRINAGAR

SRINAGAR – Kashmiri youth particularly students, including female students,defied the curfew and restrictions and staged anti-India protests at manyplaces including Kashmir University, University of Agricultural Sciencesand Technology and National institute of Technology in Srinagar and Sopore.

They raised anti-India, pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans.

Clashes were reported between protesters and Indian troops in Drugmulla andBumhama areas of Kupwara district.

An anti-India protest demonstration was held at Wangpora in Srinagar. Theprotesters raised slogans ‘Stop Bloodshed in Kashmir’ and ‘Stop Genocide ofKashmiris.’Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed today (Thursday) againstthe martyrdom of four civilians and injuries to many in the indiscriminatefiring by Indian troops on protesters in Khudwani area of Kulgam districtyesterday (Wednesday).

Call for the strike was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership. All shopsand business establishments were closed while traffic was off the road.

The puppet authorities had imposed curfew and other restrictions in allmajor cities and towns of the Valley including Kulgam and Srinagar.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown will be observed in Kishtwar district of Jammuregion tomorrow (Friday) to express solidarity with the families of fourcivilians martyred by Indian troops in in Kulgam district.

Call for the strike has been given by Imam of Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, FarooqAhmed Kichloo.
